I think official is a bit ambiguous here considering how we have four GitHub teams and then some around the internet (Matrix moderators, Reddit moderators, Discourse moderators) while there is overlap. ![The four GitHub teams](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/831184/73746646-5b26f880-475e-11ea-8252-8d2d922f14eb.png)

I think this may also be a bit wide, but of the cases I mentioned, I think only involvement of money/work or something big like that would create an incentive for me to think that there is a CoI with this wording. I wouldn't consider a friendship or relationship as a problem as it couldn't be real if it was hanging up on PrivacyTools recommendations.

```suggestion To determine whether something is a conflict of interest or not, the following question will be asked at a case by case basis: Does the team members interest create an incentive to act (consciously or sub-consciously) against the best interests of the PrivacyTools website and/or community. ```
Just to clarify, they can still comment on the issue but not leave approving reviews? Can they also request changes or does that count as voting (against)?
I think this requires more definition on what is a conflict of interest. For example [I gave a long list at the forum](https://forum.privacytools.io/t/preventing-privacytools-conflicts-of-interest-ensuring-privacytools-integrity/2517/25?u=mikaela) and while I still was in the Matrix team chat, I understood that there the list was disapproved and from what I have talked with people, they don't consider anything else than some associations a CoI (which by the way has been discussed previously in very long comments in https://github.com/privacytoolsIO/privacytools.io/issues/1062#issuecomment-516395200). To clarify the question, where is the line between friendliness with a project and a CoI? When does a relationship with a person in some sort of connection with a project become a CoI? How about being enthustiastic about a project? Is the definition just money in the equation?
