Closing opengl sketch from the PDE doesn't stop java process on windows #2335
Closing a running sketch that uses an OpenGL-renderer (P2D/P3D) from the PDE by pressing the stop button doesn't stop the java.exe process. Tested on Windows 7 64 bit, latest revision. Some discussion on the forum:
Running the P3D sketch through Java VirtualVM puzzles me. After stopping the sketch from the PDE, its window disappears, but the corresponding process remains attached inside VirtualVM. Strangely enough, in the thread view all the threads in the process appear frozen (time is stopped in the moment the sketch was "closed"):
