In a recent commit, I've made Ctrl-E into "Use Selection for Find" (in line with most? Mac text editors) and Ctrl-Shift-E into Export Application, just to see how that feels.

Maybe Ctrl-X for Export.

Or an elaborate shortcut key editor that lets you redo all the key bindings on the fly!

I've never used these shortcuts myself so don't have a strong opinion here. I like the idea of ctrl-x for export though does that conflict with "cut"? I think cntrl-shift-e for export sounds good too.

It does conflict with Cut, one of the oldest and most beloved of all shortcuts. That's what the "ha ha ha" was about. As well as the key bindings editor. I was being... "zany".

Key shortcuts is clearly nothing to joke about. The obvious solution is of course adding at least ten more new preferences.

This works for me: I've made Ctrl-E into "Use Selection for Find" (in line with most? Mac text editors) and Ctrl-Shift-E into Export Application, just to see how that feels.

I also like Ctrl-Shift-E for Export, which I'm comfortable with from other Mac applications. (Although, on Mac it's Command-Shift-E.)

Alright, we've been living with this for several months now; I think we're all set.
