Normal users aren't fans of using filters and hooks to customize the plugin. Possibly add in a minimal option set to allow them to control Subtitle views on different areas of the site. See https://wordpress.org/support/topic/very-top-plugin-for-subtitles?replies=3#post-6301644

Closing this for now. May revisit this in the future but it's not a priority at the moment.
