You can clone with
HTTPS or Subversion.
See git/git-scm.com#132 (which it appears I should have reported here instead).
Seems to be fixed when using the latest pandoc. Now we just need to have this new version uploaded to the site.
The pdf at https://github.s3.amazonaws.com/media/progit.en.pdf still has a few errors. I found a few commands with missing hyphens. For example:
$ git commit m ’initial project version’ (Page 13)
git diff -cached (Page 19)
$ git log p -2 (Page 25)
The web-based counterparts are correct:
$ git commit -m ’initial project version’ (http://git-scm.com/book/en/Git-Basics-Getting-a-Git-Repository)
git diff --cached (http://git-scm.com/book/en/Git-Basics-Recording-Changes-to-the-Repository)
$ git log -p -2 (http://git-scm.com/book/en/Git-Basics-Viewing-the-Commit-History)
Is there a webmaster of http://git-scm.com/ who might upload a fixed version?
@bry4n Any thought on this issue and the related one of updating/localizing the figures of the book?
