Yes, I think so.
But, on the website (https://git-scm.com/book/de/v2) please leave the status of the translation temporarily still on "Translation started for".
Once we have achieved approx. 50% translation progress, we can switch to "partial translated".
After such a long period of inactivity, there is no need to hurry.

I would like to inform you, that the translation of the German version is advanced so far, that it seems to be right to upgrade the status from "Translations started for" to "Partial translations available in".

The following is completed:

• Prefaces
• Chapters 1 through 5

The translation is started with:

• Chapter 6
• Chapter 10

If you approve, I think it would be nice if the download links for PDF, ePub and mobi could be integrated on the start page of the German version too.
