Audio Devices Missing
- Lenovo Laptops
- Intel NUC (NUC7I3BNH)
- Asus TUF Z390-PRO GAMING
If the pulseaudio mixer only reports a "dummy" output device available, then the audio device order may need to be reversed.
Solution: Run as root: echo "options snd_hda_intel index=1,0" >> /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.confthen reboot the computer.
No Wi-Fi on some Dell computers
In some cases, on some Dell computers, a user will have NO wifi, double check the bios setting.
In one case there is a "kill switch" option. Uncheck those settings, save, and you should be good.
In another case, the Wifi settings had been unchecked, along with the "Enable UEFI Network stack" was disabled. After rechecking that box, everything was good.
This seems to be more of an issue with the 5.7 kernel than the 5.4 kernel
