even "3,1 hours" is rounded too much... i would like to see 3.1415 hours.

or, in case of pi, rather 3.1416 :)

that means rounding to 6 minutes. This is really big. For some, 3 minutes of work can be lots of money.
And if you are tracking details of desktop usage (change issue@project on every window switch), that is also not good enough.
2 decimal points might work for many. but i would possibly make use of up to 4 decimal points.

It would be very great if overview would show numbers rounded to 2 decimal points!

People rounding to 15min(rounding 0,25 h; which is more than 0,1h) when tracking(intervals of factors of 15 min) can have problems.

i.e.:

75 min tracked is exactly 1,25 h
hamster-time-tracker overview reports 1,2 h
hamster html report generated from overview reports 1,3 h

I guess two decimals can solve the problem. As mentioned maybe it's not really a common need, so what about an option?

I agree that 2 decimal points would be an improvement. marvil07's comment about rounding to 15 minutes is a good case in point. I'm not sure how uncommon this is in reality...

@toupeira toupeira changed the title from rounding bug - we track seconds but account for minutes. as a result sometimes we show less to Track time more precisely, allow showing minutes instead of hours Sep 10, 2014

Two decimal points makes more sense then just one decimal point. 15min and 45min are two of the four major time checkpoints, and they aren't accurately displayed in the overview since it rounds to one decimal point.

Configurable decimal places would be nice, but just switching to two decimal places would be great.
