Persist/buffer function logs when switching between functions in the Functions UI #377

From a feedback item posted by Andrew Hawes

I have several functions in a Functions App that interact with each other in the sense that one creates queue items that trigger another. In the Functions UI I can view the logs of a function but when I switch to another function I can only see new log entries and not previous entries. So if I am watching one log and I see an event trigger that should be handled by another function by the time I switch to that function to review the log the event has completed and the log entries are not visible.

I would suggest being able to access previous log entries when viewing a log. Either all log entries since during the UI session or a backward looking buffer of x lines or x minutes back.

This is also helpful to see compilation errors that occur when the function is first compiled if you don't happen to be looking at the logs when you push updates.

I realize that you may also be able to download the logs but purely with respect to the Function UI this would be a benefit.

What we should consider doing is pulling the logs from the file when we load the function, instead of just future streaming logs.

This should be in next slot now. Give it a try and let me know what you think
