Using Stylish for disabling quick reply has drawbacks - another add-on to install, not very user-friendly for un-technical users.
I propose to create a checkbox setting for disabling quick reply.
Because of missing HTML capability. It's a must in my case (professional usage).
Please try the latest version at http://jonathan.xulforum.org/files/gcv-nightlies/201406201054-html-reply.xpi and tell me if it fixes your issue (if it does, feel free to close this ticket!).
Unfortunately I cannot install this, because it's not compatible with the version of my Thunderbird - 24.6.0.
The latest version includes html reply and is compatible with Thunderbird 31, I'm therefore closing this ticket.
The latest version is that 201406201054-html-reply.xpi?
2.8 from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gmail-conversation-view/versions/ also works
Could this version be made compatible with Thunderbird 24 too?
Got new Thunderbird now and HTML works in quick reply indeed.
But could we still have an option to disable quick reply as I prefer replying in a separate window?
My point was rather that as I don't need that quick reply taking space under message, I'd like to disable it. Currently I disable it using Stylish, but I'd prefer not having to use another add-on for such a simple thing.
This would actually help to avoid sending unencrypted mail by mistake, since quick reply seems not to cooperate with enigmail.
