cd into BasicObject.new fails due to lack of BasicObject#is_a? #516

This isn't fully fixed yet @senthilnambi so I'm going to reopen this until the rest is done.

It turns out that it's quite hard to get pry to do anything useful once you've done this, so I'm going to close this. If someone wants to try their hand at it in future, I wish them good luck :).
