what is a hero ?
is this similar to #155 ?

Similar. The "hero div" is the big one on the main page; the "hero image" is the image there.

I found it on Flickr when I was doing the design mockups, and I don't know if it's fair to show those people as if they're using pump.io (which they're not).

@maiki hopefully stuff with friends and cameras, where the people maybe know and don't mind that their stuff is being used to promote unrelated software.
