Welcome to the wiki of the Purple Protocol!

This is indented to be a guide and a reference for users, protocol developers, decentralized applications developers and anyone that is interested in learning or verifying the underlying properties of the protocol.

Introduction

Purple is a scalable, programmable, decentralized, multi-asset blockchain protocol. Purple's solution for the scalability problem is a novel consensus algorithm that leverages the properties of semi-synchronous systems in order to have fine-grained control on the safety and scalability properties of the system.

This means that the system can self-adjust to even the harshest of operating conditions while still providing a high transaction throughput.
