What did you try to do?
I tried installing the latest version of pycurl in a virtualenv

What did you expect to happen?
pycurl to install correctly
What is the PycURL version?
pycurl is not installed, so cannot output pycurl.version, but it is installing the latest version (22.214.171.124)
What is your Python version?
What is your operating system?
OS X High Sierra (10.13.3)

Did you check libcurl behavior?

Hello everyone, thank you for providing such a useful library.
I have had an enormous amount of trouble trying to install ftps due to pycurl beneath it. I am trying to install it on an Amazon Linux AMI 2018.03.0 (HVM) for Python 3.6.7 in order to package all my dependencies into a lambda zip. I have looked all over and see various answers for various scenarios, none of which have worked for me. Again:

However every time I try to install ftps I get:

And each time I try to install pycurl I get:
