Linux - Indicator icon barely visible due to icon style

The indicator in the top panel is barely visible if the desktop environment top panel background color is black. For example Elementary OS top panel (wingpanel) changes it color to black when windows are maximized so the pydio-ui icon becomes almost invisible except for the red ring.
Other indicators icon don't have this problem

Indicators shouldn't be using black or custom colors. They should be using symbolic icons and system style classes for colors so that they adapt properly with panel color changes.

Would it be possible to change the icon to a combination of white and grey as many other indicators seem to use or to use symbolic icons and system style classes for colors?
