Is there any way to get any data about PyCon, like number of people etc.? It would be great for us to have these data to use them as demo in our project.

Hi!
No, we don't plan any public API yet. We might provide public speakers data inlcuding talks, but we don't have a time to do it before the event...

Good suggestion to next year though!

If you would like to contribute, take a look at speakers app, especially Speaker, Talk and Workshop models. Slot model is very messy, because we need to support N:M relationship between speakers and talks/titles and it's gonna be refactored in the future.
