Hi,
This appeared when I swaped to IEP 3.3 (IEP 3.2 works well for me).
Every 6 or 7 key hits, 4 key hits are lost. Precisely if I edit a new empty file, I can hit return 6 times (it creates 6 new lines). Then I hit return 4 times (nothing happens !!!). And then I can hit return again about 6 times and so on.... It is the same with all keys. If I edit a new file and write down the alphabet, here is what I get in the editor :

abcdefglmnopqvwxyzabghijkl...

Is'nt it curious ?

Distrib : Ubuntu 13.10

... I forgot to log in before filling the bug report...
In fact, IEP 3.2 behaves the same way. So, I think this bug is due to ditro change, from 13.04 to 13.10.

I was running from binaries. I downloaded iep and pizo source yesterday and used it a few hours. Everything worked fine. I swaped again to IEP 3.3 binary this morning to see what happens (the problem does not occur immediatly). Really... I don't understand anything. If nobody else complained... it certainly is an issue on my computer. Wait and see...

I was thinking about updating to 13.10 soon, so we'll see what happens here. Good to know it will still work when run from source, so I wont be left with a useless system :)

I removed and re-installed pyside, and now everything seems to work fine again.

@lsignac could you please verify?

.. I was bored by Ubuntu 13.10 (not only an iep issue...)... and switched to Arch Linux (good old time distrib) last week. I just used IEP a couple of hours since my distribution changed but everything worked fine (and my computer is twice as fast as it was with Ubuntu/Unity). I will post a message here if the "bug" reappears.
