Hi! Sorry waste your precious time with this stupid person, but, when you have a little free time can you help me with that? I never gonna forget that!

qBittorrent version and Operating System

qBittorrent 4.1.5, Windows 7 SP1

What is the problem

When I use "Set Location" to move some torrent, the qBittorrent move the contents of the folder, not the folder itself...

What is the expected behavior

Move the folder itself, not the content as in utorrent, since it does not get disorganized...

Steps to reproduce

Right-move click on the torrent inside of qBittorrent...
Click in "Set Location"

Maybe you just misunderstand its meaning?

Maybe you have originally added this torrent with the "Create subfolder" option unchecked? That will correctly cause this behavior. qBT will then essentially treat the torrent contents as a collection of files and that's what it will move around when you use "Set location". Unfortunately, there is no way to change the "Create subfolder" option status after adding the torrent (so the only way is to remove the torrent from qBT and re-add it).

Actually that is the behavior if there is a subfolder as well. Only the contents of the torrent are moved. It used to move the whole folder but it was changed at some point, don't remember if it was considered a bug fix or just a change in behavior.

I had just now re-verified this on my end (qBT x64 v4.1.5, Win10) and this is definitely not the case. As always, the 'subfolder' (parent folder that was autocreated by qBT, usually with the torrent name) itself is moved by "Set location", so the folder structure remains the same. I tested moving within the same partition.

I meant if there are any extra files they will be left behind.

Ah, I see. It would make sense to do it in that manner so as to not affect any files not created by the program. In that case wording it as I had ("subfolder is moved") is technically inaccurate. Discussing this topic is especially dependent on precise and clear wording. Maybe the original poster's complaint is related more to what you just said. I can't tell exactly what the original post means.
