What is the expected behavior

Being able to connect to other users.

Steps to reproduce

I don't know how to reproduce it for other people...

Extra info(if any)

So. I've been having this problem with my ISP in that my ports aren't being forwarded (even though correctly set up in router settings). I thought that was the reason I wasn't able to connect to other peers, but while using a VPN (and a port that's actually being forwarded), I'm still not able to connect to other users. (And of course, I should still be able to connect to other people, regardless of forwarded ports. I get that now.)
Using a different torrent software (Deluge), I am able to connect to other users.
Am I doing something wrong? Things were fine a few days to a week ago (can't remember exactly when).

Any help I can get I'd be extremely grateful for. I wouldn't be surprised if it was my own fault somehow. Thanks.
