qBittorrent version and Operating System

4.1.6 Windows 8.1

What is the problem

Qbittorrent won't open source folder a run a file when an external drive is put to sleep, even though the downloaded torrent has nothing to do with it. It hangs until the drive is running again.

What is the expected behavior

Open files, source folders, allow saving into folders as long as they're not on the drive that is powered down by the OS.

Steps to reproduce

  • Makes sure that an external HDD is plugged and powered down.
  • Try opening a file, the torrent's folder, adding a torrent or setting download location that's not on the drive in question
  • observe the hang and delay before your file is opened, etc.
