Please elaborate further. You mean something like autodl-irssi? Why should it be "included" tin qBittorent (e.g. what are the advantages vs. just using autodl-irssi + watch folders)? And what exactly do you mean by "included"?

Vuze includes an IRC bot as plugin through which torrent activity is broadcasted via an IRC bot on IRC. Something similiar on qBitTorrent would be useful IMO.

Why would be useful?

In my IMO this feature screams "bloat". And it sounds alien for a bittorrent client.

Having bot would be nice for those active on IRC

Why? What would that bot do?

Broadcast torrent related activity including allowing users to download current active torrents via IRC. Same as in Vuze. Just an idea.

Have a look at the IRC bot plugin for Vuze on Google.

But what is the advantage of this vs. simply using autodl-irssi + qbittorrent watch folders? Besides the fact that autodl-irssi is only available for irssi, but that is not qBittorrent's problem, a clone could be developed for other IRC clients as well.

We already have the RSS downloader and that is already kind of out-of-scope for a bittorrent client and has its own maintenance burden.

I would get rid of all the additional features in favor of supporting compatibility with any kind of specialized software (RSS, Search etc.).

IMO, even if somehow an IRC bot is useful in a bittorrent client (I doubt it), we simply can't implement this feature for another reason: We lack the manpower and the motivation to support the IRC protocol. And probably the IRC protocol itself isn't so simple that we can implement it in a few days.
