Try with the latest version from the PPAs: https://launchpad.net/~qbittorrent-team/+archive/ubuntu/qbittorrent-stable and a clean install of qBittorrent (backup your setting first if you need them later).

Anyway, Ubuntu 20.04 and its derivatives are technically not released yet, so don't expect a lot of support.

An update which I installed a few (~7) hours ago has fixed the issue, I can now download the normally using Qbittorrent again.

Thank you @FranciscoPombal (& sorry I didn't notice the PPA testing request).

My issue has gone, and I've spoken with the OP of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qbittorrent/+bug/1862016 (over IRC) who also reported the issue was all good. He closed that launchpad bug id as we spoke (irc).

It doesn't matter that qBittorent crashed. I use U20 daily to help developers. For the time being, if I need to, I will use another bittorrent client until the corrected version of qBittorrent is released. (Google translate)
