Please provide the following information

qBittorrent version and Operating System:

qBittorrent v3.3.16 Windows 10 x64 1709(16299.19):

If on linux, libtorrent and Qt version:

N/A

What is the problem:

High router (RT-AC88U) CPU usage (impacting D/L)

What is the expected behavior:

Router CPU usage similar to uTorrent

Steps to reproduce:

Download....

Extra info(if any):

Encryption enabled.

Downloading the same torrent with utorrent with only 1 seeder will have better download rate than utorrent. (using ipfilter.dat to isolate 1 seed)
I then saw that the router CPU utilization go crazy with qBitorrent more than 4x higher(45%) than uTorrent. (10%)
Ports are forwarded correctly for both.

I would recommend trying to configure qBitorrent to do some connection rate limiting, and seeing if that helps. There's a good chance that qBitorrent, being a P2P application, is making too many or too quickly making new connections.

Options->Connection: Connection Limits
Start off with a low value like 64 and work your way up.

Also
Options->Advanced: Maximum number of half-opened connections
Set to something low, like 4, then work your way up.
