qBittorrent version and Operating System

qBittorrent v4.0.2,x64 / Win8.1Pro

What is the problem

Double-clicking on a search result rearranges the results list

What is the expected behavior

The results list should not rearrange itself

Steps to reproduce

  1. Search for some torrent that gives you multiple results.
  2. Sort the results alphabetically (optional, but gives you a better idea of what's happening).
  3. Double-click on several identical results to add more trackers/peers.
(observe as the results list rearranges itself)

Extra info

This seems to be a regression that appeared between v4.0.0 and v4.0.2.

When i click "Search" tab do some search, sort and doubleclick some torrent, it start downloading = no issue.

When i begin some search within qbittorrent, it will find a few torrents that i am already downloading, i sort them, i doubleclick a torrent and it opens WIndows explorer window = good.

So i do not see any issue (though i am not using Windows 8, but WIndows 10 64b)

Try this:

  1. Search for a specific torrent which gives you just a few results for that exact release.
  2. Double-click on each result.

You should now be able to observe that every torrent that you double-click on jumps to a different location on the results list.

hmm..
I only perform clean installs.
Perhaps this needs to be tested with a fresh profile.

Just confirming that the double-click, rearrangement does happen, and has since v4.0.0.
Using qBittorrent v4.0.2,x64 / Win10Home FCU.
It also doesn't relate only to the same search result, but to any search result.

qBittorrent search plugins are now in a different repository, please open search related issues there.

We are working hard to fix/improve official plugins. Please, download last qBittorrent release and click "Search plugins => Check for updates" to get last versions.
