Original Redmine Issue: 7387
Affected QGIS version: master
Redmine category:digitising

If one defines a display field (for tooltip display) and sets it to hidden in the field widget setting (so that this field is invisible in the attribute form) then merging geometries fails - the merged objects disappear.

closing this bug as there seem to be other reasons - I can't find out what eaxactly is causing this problem with disappearing geometries on feature merging.
