Atomic value → atomic item

I liked @michaelhkay’s proposal in #826 (comment):

• The term "atomic item" (or just atom?) replaces "atomic value".

I often used “atomic items” in the past (although it’s no defined term at the moment) as it seemed more intuitive to me.
