This is a simple boilerplate for a WordPress site. WordPress is added as a submodule and fetched from the official WordPress repository. The
wp-content folder has been moved outside the WordPress folder and has been renamed to
wp-config.php file makes an assumption about your server environment. It assumes that there is a environment variable set called
WP_ENV. Depending on if the variable is set to
production it will include either
To add WP_ENV to your server environment you have to edit your virtual host configuration.

If the config doesn't find the WP_ENV variable it will default to the production configuration. But all of this can of course be easily changed if necessary.
