Original issue 619 created by goduck777 on 2010-12-01T14:47:35.000Z:

Please add an option in the tray icon plugin to control the behaviour of the "close" button. When using this plugin, clicking "close" will simply minimize quodlibet to the tray icon rather than close the program. This is not preferred by everyone. I think there should be 3 options here:
1 Minimize to icon when clicking "close"
2 Minimize to icon when clicking "minimize"
2 None. (close quodlibet when clicking "close", just like ordinary condition)

Yes I actually find it a bit annoying that closing the QL window doesn't quit the program, unless you think of it as more a service than an app.

I see no reason this couldn't be an config option as suggested...

trayicon: add option to close QL when closing the main window instead…
… of just hiding it. Same as in the mpris plugin but defaults to hiding. Closes issue #619
