Love the tips, but one quibble:

"Use the Source, Luke" goes way back before 2012, and probably even before blogs were a thing. Here's a mention in the New Hacker's Dictionary: http://catb.org/jargon/html/U/UTSL.html.
The earliest version I've been able to find is from August of 1991: http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/oldversions/jarg296.txt, but I suspect it was in use long before then.
