Unused argument error in spell_check

How to reproduce error:

devtools::spell_check()
# Error in spelling::spell_check_package(pkg = pkg, vignettes = vignettes,  : 
#   unused argument (lang = lang)

devtools::spell_check passes argument lang to spelling::spell_check_package but

args(spelling::spell_check_package)
# function (pkg = ".", vignettes = TRUE, use_wordlist = TRUE) 
# NULL

Not sure what the intended implementation should be
