somewhat related to #277, but different enough.

If a successful call to stop_for_status() returned the response object, could you pipe all the way through? For example:

result <-
  GET(...) %>%
  stop_for_status() %>%
  content(as = "text") %>%
  jsonlite::fromJSON(...)
