Feature Request: Featured Image thumbnail in Post Excerpt

If the post excerpt could include thumbnails of the featured image that would be amazing.

Temporary Workaround

Copy the content.php file to a Child Theme, and then copy these lines to this line, so that the featured image shows up when excerpts are being shown too.
