Gitmark

Save inside GitHub the best GitHub projects you find, without watching everything.

It's almost finished, you can see more details here

About the project

This project use Flask (Python) and was coded to work with Google AppEngine. See this post for more information about using Flask with GAE.

How it works

The main idea here is store little information about some project inside a README in a GitHub repo using a bookmarklet.

Step-by-step:

1) Create a new repo in your account 2) Login using your account 3) Select repo 4) Use bookmarklet (bookmarklet_code.html) to start marking projects

What's missing

The bookmarklet needs more attention, I'm not a good designer and front-end developer.

You will find some bugs, most of them related to logged in/out user.

More information about the code

You will find a helpers.py with all the requests to GitHub API. I wrote that from the ground because I can't find any good library and every library I tried didn't work with API v3 to write to repo.

If you want to discuss anything or need any help, you can find me here:
