A rewrite of the original Sphereority, Sphereority 2: The Assault will have improved graphics and gameplay, as well as the following features:
- Two rendering engines (3D with OpenGL and 2D with Java’s Swing)
- Multiple weapons
- Up to 256 players per server
- Interactive map editor
