Dear Rachel,

First, many thanks for this great WP theme !

I am building a child theme the standard way but I have noticed that "navbar-static-top" doesn't produce a static nav bar. Moreover, navbar-inverse never goes away.

I have checked that my child theme's modification are applied (and they are) but the behaviour of
the navbar-static-top still stays "navbar-inverse navbar-relative-top" meaning the nav bar stays dark and doesn't flow down when scrolling.

For example, I have modified the header.php file and changed the following:
div class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-relative-top"
div class="navbar navbar-static-top"

Viewing the source code of my produced page, I get:
div class="navbar navbar-static-top"

My changes are applied in the produced webpage but I still get a "navbar-inverse navbar-relative-top" behaviour in my nav bar.

Same thing if I use ".navbar-fixed-top".

Is there a bug or is there a special way to create a child theme in bootstrapwp?

Many thanks in advance for your response !

By the way, I am using OSX snow leopard and Firefox 15.0.1.

And I have tested both branches 0.87 and 0.90. They both behave the same.

@gogitter where are you making your style changes?

I am making the change in
wp-content/themes/myBootstrapTheme/header.php (child theme of the above)

And I get the same result: The nav bar doesn't change, while the code change is present in the produced source code of the webpage. Strange...

  <body <?php body_class(); ?>  data-spy="scroll" data-target=".bs-docs-sidebar" data-offset="10">
    <div class="navbar navbar-static-top">

@gogitter i didn't understand one thing: are making the changes in STYLE writing a

<style type="text/css">

or are you overwriting the style.css file?

If you tried to act as normal child theme impose, so writing the style.css file, there is a issue related to it I opened: #74

if it's that case give a look there :)

Closing the issue as I don't use the code anymore !
