I am only using this for facebook posts and I am having about 10 duplicates of the same post. It seams to see all posts as "NEW"

Same issue here, albeit with multiple Wordpress feeds, it's replicated across multiple feeds (different syndicated categories): http://ufutas.ufua.asn.au/

Is it the case, that when you press "update now" any previously syndicated posts are replicated?

Hi yall,

Sorry to hear you're having this problem. Unfortunately it is often difficult to track down the exact source without a lot of hands-on troubleshooting. Would either or both of you be willing to create a temporary admin-level account for me to log in to your FeedWordPress installation and run some diagnostic tests? If so, this would help me a lot in identifying what's causing the problem for you and hopefully helping you to eliminate it. If you can't swing this, that's fine; but I'll need some information from your end and I'll have some settings to turn on in the Diagnostics panel so that you can run some tests on your end.

Thanks. Hit me up at feedback+fwp25@radgeek.com

If you've been going through manually removing duplicates when they appear, it would help if you could hold off on doing that for the next day or two, so that I can have some concrete examples to look through.

I've used Feed Wordpress on abut 10 sites and have never figured out the pattern for duplicated syndicated posts, it's usually only one, but happens with some frequency. I have a copy of a site on a dev server where this happen sif you want another one to look at, can sent admin login

I'm seeing duplicates too; in my case there is exactly one duplicate for every post. Do you have some suggested diagnostic settings I can try? Since this is a public-facing site of considerable importance to our organization, I am probably going to have to remove them manually via erase/resyndicate.

Is there any news or progress on this? Is there anything we can do to assist or facilitate a speedy resolution to this issue? If it helps at all, all of my duplicate posts are for a feed that has the permalinks/guid set to use the original site's url.

You can use following plugins to fix this problem..

https://wordpress.org/plugins/feedwordpress-duplicate-post-filter/

That's worked very good for me..

Well, I'm happy to report that our problem was traced to an error in how the feed was being generated. It had nothing to do with FeedWordPress. If it helps others, examine the duplicate posts in wp_posts carefully. In each case in my db, everything was the same except the guid, where one had a "www" and the other did not. Having said that, others still seem to be experiencing a problem. It would be constructive and considerate of the plugin author to be more responsive, even if it is to simply say that he is too busy to address the issue.
