Hi, I'm Salva!

GameDev Narrative EdTech Translation

I'm a technologist specializing in Learning & Language technologies and a narrative designer passionate about crafting immersive experiences, based in Barcelona, Spain.

Current Projects

I am the Head of Educational Technology and Translation at Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (FUNIBER), where I work at the intersection of technology, learning, and language and lead projects that aim to enhance education through digital tools. I am also exploring ways to integrate game development and gamification into educational technology.

THU & King Mentorship Program

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and a Master's Degree in Game Design and Programming from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).

I was also part of a Mentorship Program with Trojan Horse was a Unicorn and King, where I had the opportunity to work with industry professionals and gain insights into game development and design.

Skills

I primarily work with Unity and C#, but I can navigate Godot, Unreal, and other engines as well. I also have experience with Twine, Ren'Py, and interactive fiction tools. You can check out my itch.io page for games I’ve made as part of my education or just for fun. Recently, I've been diving into low-level graphics with WebGPU and WebGL, building 3D web experiences with Three.js, and exploring RayLib.

Beyond game development, I work extensively with PHP, Python, and JavaScript. I have experience with frameworks like Laravel and Lumen, and I’ve also worked with Flask. My day-to-day involves working with Moodle and other learning management systems, developing plugins and integrations to enhance the learning experience. Additionally, I work with Dataiku, MySQL, MariaDB and data analysis, managing workflows and optimizing datasets for better insights. I also automate workflows using n8n.
