Have to agree with jasoncwarner on that. I’m way surprised that you had to change the version in more place than one in the source, and possibly one in the CHANGELOG.

You shouldn't be surprised, action mailer, active support, active record, action pack, active resource and rails itself are all separate gems.

If they are separate gems, they each need their version numbers.

Really impressed how the Merb and Rails teams put aside their differences and worked together here. I don't think that level of maturity has ever appeared in the software world.

Even though you guys slightly missed your target for a RailsConf beta :), the (almost) finished product is amazing.
