I created two super simple templates: https://gist.github.com/1202224, https://gist.github.com/1202218. The erb template renders Testing ERB on the first read_fragment but the haml template does not. The haml template does however render the content once that fragment exists ie if I render the template and refresh.

I am unsure as to whether or not this is a haml issue or a Rails issue. Offhand it would seem there is a subtle difference in the way haml and erb templates are handled in 3.0.x.

Rails Version: 3.0.10
Haml Version: 3.1.2

@timlinquist Is this still an issue?

@carlosantoniodasilva

There was a great chance that this was a haml issue, and was targeted to Rails 3.0, which is now only maintained for security releases. I'm closing it, but in any case, if you still think it's a possible Rails related issue, please make sure you test it with latest 3.2 version, and ping here again so I can reopen the issue.
