Email text encoding issue upon upgrading to 3.2.8 #7318

If I send an email with Rails 3.2.7 this sample text will come out okay:

This isn't the only thing that doesn't work.

However after upgrading to 3.2.8, the email comes out like this:

This isn't the only thing that doesn't work.

Well, the text encoding of the second string was fixed in this context but in an email every apostrophe comes out as:

& # x 2 7 ;

without the spaces of course.

Thank you Rafael but I'm a bit confused now and I have a couple questions.

Is this bug fixed or was this implemented on purpose?

Should I modify my text email templates or should I wait for the next Rails release?

It was implemented on purpose for HTML escaping but it should not affect text emails.

As workaround you can modify your text email templates, but we will try to fix in the next release.

Thanks Rafael.
