I'm getting random segmentation faults when precompiling assets on Ruby 2.0.0 and Rails 2.3.13.rc2. This started appearing after switch to Ruby 2.0.0.
I cannot reproduce it on my local machine, but it often happens when deploying to Heroku (maybe @hone observed something similar).
Not sure which project bug tracker should it be reported, but I'm posting it here as rails community should have biggest knowledge in this topic. Switch to sprockets 2.2.2.backport1 version didn't help as @josh suggested in #9492
Here is a stacktrace: https://gist.github.com/morgoth/a63eb1feebf5139e9537
Have you reported this bug to Redmine? I think there might be some bug in Ruby itself regarding Tempfile handling.
@sikachu just did: https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/8056
Have the same error. It randomly occurs both locally and on our build server. On the build server it is always in the assets precompilation steps it segfaults.

I can also report the same issue: https://gist.github.com/cloud8421/5489442
This is probably a dup of https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/8100
Yup. Until we can prove that this is a Rails issue, I'm closing.
