The Problem

use experimental :macros; my $zipi = 42; macro nothing() { $zipi = 43 }; nothing; say $zipi

Yields the error:

Too few positionals passed; expected 3 arguments but got 2

Expected Behavior

On the other hand, this:

use experimental :macros; my $zipi = 42; macro nothing() { $zipi = 43; quasi {} }; nothing(); say $zipi

is OK, because it's returning an (empty) quasi. The error could be better understood if it said "This macro does not return a quasi" (or somesuch)

  • Operating system:

  • Compiler version (perl6 -v):

    say $*PERL.compiler.version; # OUTPUT: «␤»
