  • Added support for new website monitoring of workers (BETA!)
  • Fixed bug with waiting for worker to start when using SRB
  • Fixed a bug with naming the rig other than using the PC name

I will be adding more to the new FREE worker monitoring system, over the next few days. There will eventually be a paid version with many features, as well as the ability to control it all from the web.

If you do not wish to use the monitor, just keep the API Key blank in settings.conf.

image

Steps to use the new monitoring system.

  1. You'll need to use 6.04.00 or above.

  2. Go to https://www.profitbotpro.com and grab your personal API key. Make sure to CLICK the key, so it is loaded in to your session. If you do not set the API Key, you will keep getting a new one.

image

  1. Paste this key in the api_key section of settings.conf. Use the SAME API Key for all your rigs.

image

  1. Restart your workers.

  2. Each system will auto register itself with the website.

  3. Once you have the key setup on all workers, make sure the correct key is pastes in the My API Key form field.

image

  1. Click the Search / Refresh button.

  2. You will see a list of your mining rigs, and what they are currently mining.

  • added feature to name your rig instead of using the name of the computer.

If you already use Profitbot Pro, add this line to settings.conf, otherwise download the new package.

"rig_name": "",

If you want to name your rig, Mining_Rig_01, it would look like this:

"rig_name": "Mining_Rig_01",

  • I may have not included the updated 2.7.1 XMR-Stak, in the previous release. I'm adding a new release, to make sure everyone is aware that this version contains the updated XMR w/ 0% dev fee. I'm pretty sure I accidentally copied XMR 2.6.0 to yesterday's release.

  • The timers in settings.conf have been adjusted. This is to our mutual benefit. My servers are getting hammered half as much, and you get a faster, more stable API.

I'm trying to run all of this cheaply, as I'm no longer making any money mining (I shut off my rigs yesterday), and my AWS costs are too much for this market.

I appreciate your support and understanding.

  • This is a working pre-release of Profitbot Pro w/ SRB Miner included.

I have been using this for the past 24 hours on several mining rigs. It's been working in both profit and static mode without any issues. SRB Miner only works on AMD GPU's

Here's what I have discovered in the past 24 hours: With SRB I get slightly better performance than XMR-Stak, even without SRB mining with the CPU. That's pretty impressive! There's no need to "dual thread" SRB, since it handles that for you. I've not tried it with XMR-Stak 2.7.0, but it apparently handles dual threads, automatically too. I happen to still use my custom amd.txt files w/ XMR.

My 580's seem to get some pretty good speeds w/ SRB. The ones over 2KH are MSI, the other 2 are ASUS.
image

OK, so what do you need to do to use SRB? I've made it pretty simple for you to switch back and forth between XMR and SRB. You'll need to download the newest PBP zip file (above), because you'll need the updated profit_manager.ps1 and also the folder which SRB resides in. If you already use PBP, you can reuse your settings.conf and also coin_settings.conf (with coin_settings.conf you''ll need to add a line).

Step 1: Change the software to: SRBMiner-CN, and then pick the correct config file for the algo you intend to mine.

Here is the setting in text, so you can copy and paste.

"software": "SRBMiner-CN",

Either download and use the new coin_settings.conf, or paste this line at the bottom of each block:

"srb_config_file": "config-litev7.txt"

image

Step 2: Determine which config file is needed, you can find them here:

image

Step 4. That's literally it. Start mining. If you want to use XMR-Stak, just change the software section back.

Please pay attention to the next image

a. When you switch software, you change the value in Software.
b. The 2 red boxes only apply to XMR-Stak
c. The green box only applies to SRB.

Here's what it looks like when setup for XMR-Stak.

-----Previous release notes and instructions for v6.00.00 and v6.01.00 are applicable.

I am currently testing this on all of my rigs. This version works out of the box; however, I would get your own API session_key, and setup your own query values. I would strongly suggest having a separate session key for EACH rig, so they do not interfere with each other. Don't worry, I will not run out of unique keys. This is explained below.

  • Added XMR-Stak v2.7.0 0% dev fee. This version has major tweaks to CN8 and CN Heavy, also handles dual threading and auto tuning. You can use the new features, or continue to use your old 2.6.0 settings.
  • Major changes to benchmark to allow extra forks of XMR-Stak, as well as to allow future additions of other non-XMR-Stak mining applications.
  • Changed the API to the new queryable API. Completely customizable for each rig, for a unique mining experience.
  • Fixed issue where miner will lose connection to the API, and stay in that state. New function will restart mining software.
  • Changes to the updater.
  • Bug fixes and performance tweaks

***This release will NOT be available through the normal automatic updater, as it will break your rigs. Once everyone is switched over to the new version, I will make future updates available through the automatic updater. I do not want to disrupt anyone's mining with this new version. :) Honesty and transparency are important.

image

Step 1: Go to https://www.profitbotpro.com

Fill out the Calculator Form and click Calculate Profit.

image

Step 2: Click on the API menu link on the calc website. You'll now be assigned a session_key that is unique to you. If you use the generic one that comes with the software, it is possible you could run in to issues sharing the same key with others. Please keep this in mind.

image

Step 3: Copy everything in the URL bar EXCEPT https:// --- this is very important!

See below for more information on this.

image

Step 4: Paste this in to settings.conf

Please note...... the "https://" part cannot be pasted in! See example below.

image

If you already use Profitbot Pro, change the version in your files.

Step 5: Change versions (only if you are upgrading from an old version)

In both settings.conf and coin_settings.conf, change the version to 6.00.00

image

Step 6: Run a new benchmark

With the performance tweaks that I have made, as well as those from XMR-Stak, it is suggested that you run a completely new benchmark. You can just set the timer to 1 minute (in settings.conf) if you are in a hurry. You "do not have to" run a new benchmark.... but I do suggest it.

*NOTE: Some crypto projects have switched to CN8, please watch the benchmark (if you run it) and look for 0 shares.... it's likely you are using the wrong algo, or your benchmark timer is set too short.

image

image

Step 7: Setting up the custom API

Each of the algo's can be manually adjusted for each of your mining rigs, so you get a custom mining experience for each rig. I would strongly suggest having a separate session key for EACH rig, so they do not interfere with each other. Don't worry, I will not run out of unique keys.

www.profitbotpro.com/api/v1/api.cfm?session_key=C68367E3-AAC5-49D0-1FCEC6D96586A813&default_hashrate=15000&cryptonight_v8_hashrate=13500&cryptonight_cn7_lite_hashrate=30000&cryptonight_alloy_hashrate=7500&cryptonight_b2n_hashrate=19500&cryptonight_masari_hashrate=27000&cryptonight_heavy_hashrate=15000&cryptonight_arto_hashrate=13500&cryptonight_mox_hashrate=31500&cryptonight_freehaven_hashrate=36000&algo_select=Any&exchange_select=Any&listing_select=Listed&asic=any&db_select=Current

For each of the algo's, you can change the hashrate based on the performance of your mining rig. You can also pick to only mine a specific exchange, algo, listed versus unlisted on an exchange, if it's support or does not support ASIC, and by a time span.

I have a video that explains some of this on the calc website, under the tutorials sections.

Step 8: Start mining. If you've set everything up correctly, you should be good to go. If you experience errors, I'll need screenshots as well as a glimpse of your config files. If you see a lot of red on your screen, make sure you didn't miss a character, or add an additional character in the json data (config files). Also... make sure you didn't paste anything goofy in to the url part.
