If I have got a long text in cell "A1" it floats into "B1" if "B1" is empty.

When I add a new row to my spreadsheet with:

sheet.add_row [ 'This is a very long text and should into the right cell', nil, 'xxx' ]

it does not float into the right neighboring cell.

Any ideas?

@janhuehne sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
That is the default behavior for excel as far as I know.
Passing in a nil value for the cell content still generates a cell as far as excel is concerned.

What kind of result are you trying to achieve?

@janhuehne It should be fixed in the next release of axlsx.
