In general we are not keen on taking kernel patches as it prodcues a maintenance headache when moving to newer kernel trees and could introduce issues for others.

Is this patch taken from upstream linux kernel source?
If not I'd suggest requesting it is added there, and we will pick up the fix in the future.

It is a patch out of the 3.7.3 Kernel

The iput() from atomic context was a bad idea: if after igrab() somebody
else calls iput() and we left with the last inode reference, our iput()
would lead to inode eviction and therefore sleeping.

This patch should fix the situation.
