How is the data generated?

From the README:

Contains ri data for ruby versions 1.8.7, 1.9.2, 1.9.3 built from ruby releases 1.8.7-p358, 1.9.2-p290 and 1.9.3-p125 respectively.

Is there a way to update the patch levels, and also add 2.0.0 and 2.1.0?

I generate the data from the latest patchlevel releases at package-time.

I only generate for the latest patchlevels for each release. The latest release has 2.0.0 as well, I must have forgotten to update the README.

The gem is currently 8MB so supporting multiple patch levels is a big burden. As each release is only supposed to contain bug fixes I don't think supporting extra patchlevels is particularly useful.

I won't add 2.1.0 documentation until 2.1.0 is released. Until that time documentation may become out of date due to added or removed features. rdoc-data is targeted towards users, not developers of ruby. Because Ruby built from source builds and installs ri data by default those users should have no need for rdoc-data.

Update README to add 2.0.0 reference
