This change is to allow a user to use the tab key to navigate through the menu in the event that their mouse does not work or for accessibility reasons.
The only item still missing is to have the menu close/hide if the user tabs out of the menu. I will be updating this pull request once that change is made.
I wanted to send what I have so far to see what your thoughts were.
