I understand there is the onNavigationStateChange(prevState, newState, action) prop on top-level navigators, however is there any way to monitor/respond to changes within a nested navigator only?
e.g. Given a hierarchy such as:
StackNavigator
Screen1/TabNavigator
Tab1
Tab2
Tab3
Screen2
Screen3
How can I monitor changes between the tabs in Screen1 (i.e. nested TabNavigator)?
Hi @paulpopiel! It looks like this is not a bug of the library nor a feature request, so I'll close it: I suggest next time you use Stack Overflow which is better suited for answering these types of questions. I also encourage you to join the Reactiflux community on Discord. There are React Native and React Navigation channels with helpful people who might be able to answer your question. I would also like to mention that there is a collection of helpful links and tutorials for React Navigation in the README which might be helpful for you.
That said, being able to "monitor changes" is something that has been discussed a lot here #51 but I suggest you also read this newer proposal #3195
If you believe that you are experiencing a bug or have a feature request, please open a new Issue following the dedicated template or submit a PR.
