The main loop thread created on line 118 is stopped when cancel() is called. However the Executor used to execute tasks is not.

This is easy to see with a memory profiler since the loop thread is called "hash-wheel-timer" while the executor thread is called "hash-wheel-timer-run". The latter remains not shut down.
