Ticking the "show
snapshots for selected
track(s) only" would
basically give you an
advanced preset system as
selecting a track in
reaper would make the
snapshot window only show
that track's presets.
.
There's all sorts of cool
stuff you could do with it
like this :)
.
Not sure how it would work
for mult affected tracks
but if you can work it out
it would be very cool! ;)

Bumping this one since it came up recently on the forum and I think with a bit of fine tuning it could be a amazing idea!

here's the thread :) http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=64946

Tim, just bumping this one to see if you think it's a good idea or not or even perhaps you think that cockos might do it at some point so there's no point adding it?

The ability to "focus" the snapshots to only show snapshots that are relative to the selected track would be so powerful and would work like a track preset system.

Hope you understand what I mean? :)

I will donate like I said, Just not had any luck sorting out some dodgy paypal shenanigans! ;)

Tim, no rush but this is the thing I was talking about in the beta thread, thought I'd bump it as it contains a little more info and as I said I will donate anyway because it's going to be super useful for me! :)

No rush as I know you have your hands full at the moment! ;)

Just a friendly bump of this little jem :)

I know you guys said you would look at it after the reaper 4 stage but just in case! ;)

As I said, I will donate a good amount to make it worth your while but I can wait as long as it takes (will sit on my hands till then) ;)

You have to admit though it would be insanely powerful as it would turn the snapshots window into a per project preset window for selected tracks that also includes automation! pretty damn cool.

Woo hoo!!! Happy days! Will test it asap :)

Who should I donate too? Is it a joint effort? I should donate to both of you anyway (as should everyone who uses your extension of absolute power!) ;)

Thanks!

MBN, this was actually really simple, no joint effort necessary. :)

That's cool :) even though it's a small thing for you to do it will make a big difference here! So will donate something soon to you and send a little to jeffos too for being cool and adding some groovy stuff as well lately! :)

MBN, thanks that's very nice but you've enough donnated IMO. So, please, do me a favor: either keep your money/buy some beers and consider they come from me or , in C++, Tim->beers *= 2;

Donated to both of you!! :)

Now go buy some beers! (personally I haven't drunk since I was 17 but each to his own!) ;)

Jeffos, any luck with your idea to add a "replace" function to your find window?

That sounded like an awesome idea, the ability to search for a word in your track names or items and replace it with another one! ;)

No beer, eh? I happen to be a big fan, but then again I live in Wisconsin == beer central. Thank you so much! Your enthusiasm and support is what keeps me going.

Re find/replace, I have my name penciled in on that one, and it's one of the next big things on my "list".

Thanks again,
Tim

Good to hear that my enthusiasm has it's use! :)

Look forward to whatever is next, no matter what it is, it always seems to be useful to me! ;)

I show my students (who are forced to learn logic) Reaper and things like auto colour/icon and snapshots etc and they are blown away by these very useful functions!

keep up the good work team! :)
